Inspired by Louis XIV French Baroque Furniture there were traditionally two
distinctive styles, one used by the country houses and the other more elaborate style
graced the rooms of the Chateau.
Adapted for the European market, Luv-it has several bedroom and living/dining room
ranges to suit a variety of tastes.
materials and manufacture
Every effort in made to ensure that our product is manufactured to the highest standard.
Each piece of furniture undergoes rigorous quality checks throughout various stages of manufacture,
ensuring that the finished product is of the highest quality.
Our materials are sourced for their quality and durability, making us the premier manufacturer
for this classic antique look.
Each joint is glued and doweled and if necessary is screwed or nailed to add extra strength.
Drawers have dovetailed joints and the undersides of drawers are fitted with a "bird tail" slide.
To prevent drawers from falling out when opened, we have included a flexible clip that stops the
drawer from being completely pulled out; a full panel divides each drawer space for added stability.
In order to maintain that "unique" look, each piece of furniture will be different, as most are
hand crafted by skilled woodcarvers.
Mass reproduction of the furniture couldn't possibly reproduce the individuality that is achieved
by our highly skilled staff who use traditional methods passed down from generation to generation.
If every joint, hinge and corner post was perfect, the concept of a modern antique would be lost,
and our image of the past forgotten.
The timbers used in manufacture are hardwoods such as Beech, Birch and Oak. As an ethical company
we source timbers from carefully managed forests that are regularly replanted.
We purchase timbers for their "high density" ensuring that our furniture stands the test of time;
and to ensure cost effectiveness we use every scrap of timber by turning "off cuts" into MDF and
HDF.
The specialist paints used for our furniture are purchased from America and are renowned for
their durability and provide excellent "heat protection" qualities.
Our furniture comes in different colour finishes from an opalescent shade of white to a darker
Ivory shade with each collection of furniture having its own unique shade.
packaging
We have employed a great deal of research into this area, to ensure that our furniture is
highly protected during transit; hence we only use the latest and most cost effective methods.
The packing is so efficient; the furniture can even withstand a drop of 25cm. Of course as an
ethical company we make every endeavour to use recyclable materials.
